Yannis Sampsonidis was born in Thessaloniki
in 1968.
From 1990 to 1999 he had been studying
eastern healing arts following
Master Mantak Chia's famous
Universal Healing Tao System.
In 1999 Yannis received his first
certificate, qualifying him to instruct on the basic elements of the
Universal Healing Tao System.
In 2002 he founded Hellenic Tao
and in 2007
Travel and Do as a unique solution to his need to combine,
explore, deepen and enjoy all the things he values in life and
at the same time offer and share them with his closest friends
and teachers, as well as with his guests from all over the
world.
Since 2011 he resides
in a secluded farm on the Greek countryside and keeps teaching to
devoted students who visit him there as well as to city people by
conducting for them educational excursions and holiday plans in nature.
As a teacher
and therapist Yannis offers volunteer work to his community, mostly to
children and older people, and keeps alive his passion for the
preservation of the natural environment and wildlife by being an active
member/supporter of various NGOs in Greece and worldwide, like:
ALKIONI,
ARCHELON,
AVAAZ,
GREENPEACE.
Yannis was
flirting with vegeterianism since being a teenager. He progressively became a
pescetarian (one who eats fish-meat only) after his contact with the
inspiring
Meatrix and with some shocking documentaries on modern meat
factories that found a faster way to publicity due to the Meatrix's
success, sometime around year 2005. After the recent release of the
Earthlinks
documentary he is only hoping to further mature as a human being and
become even more responsible as a consumer.
